Elsie and Norm's Macbeth
Following the success of the highly acclaimed “Office Hours”, Susan Lynch who has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Director in the 2009 Finley Awards, returns to Harbour Theatre directing the wickedly irreverent contemporary comic send up of Shakespeare’s great play, ELSIE AND NORM’S MACBETH written by John Christopher-Wood. Fed up with playing Trivial Pursuit and watching re-runs of Dynasty and Murder She Wrote, Yorkshire couple Elsie and Norm decide to go for a bit of culture and stage some Shakespeare in their living room. Of course, it needs a bit of re-writing to liven it up, and it’s a bit of a push with just the two of them playing all those characters – but it’s all worth it for one of the greatest pieces of literature “wot has ever been wrote in the English language!” “It is a great pleasure to be back at Harbour again and with such talented actors playing these demanding roles” says director Susan Lynch. “ To be able to switch in and out of up to 14 characters as well as change their accents and still remain convincing is challenging however, these actors excel” Featuring the enormous talents of both Ann Speicher from Mosman Park as Elsie and Michael Dornan from Beaconsfield as Norm this is hilarious evening of irreverent humour, presented by Harbour Theatre, Fremantle’s only and original community theatre since 1963.

A whodunit with a difference.
Errol Flynn's Great Big Adventure Book for Boys
A musical comic book look at the comic book life of Australian film legend Errol Flynn from childhood in Hobart through white slave trader in New Guinea and finally to tragic Hollywood has-been. From the Festival Times (Edinburgh): "Taken almost entirely from official records and Flynn's own writing, the play explores the love/hate relationship Flynn had with his own screen image, and the way that he was both encouraged and condemned in it. An excellent script from Rob George does this with humour, sadness, and rage." Cast: There are some 60 characters in this play. Obviously some actors will be playing multiple roles. A minimum of 4 men and 3 women in the age ranges 18 to 60, plus a singing pianist (or equivalent) required. Audition (1 May 2008): Please prepare a short piece, either spoken or sung, that demonstrates your 'range'.
