Wingz Productions latest show, “No Sex Please, We’re British” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown NSW. The season opens on 23rd March 2012, followed by a supper afterwards. This outrageous comedy is written by Anthony Marriott & Alistair Foot, directed by David W. Owens & produced by Sandi Owens.
Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2011: Did You Hear That Noise
Wingz Productions latest show, the “Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2011 – Did You Hear That Noise” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown on Saturday 17th December 2011 at 7pm. This is a great night of entertainment and is a unique opportunity to see new plays, written by playwrights from throughout Sydney, interstate and internationally. All plays have the line “Did You Hear That Noise” as a part of the play and its interesting how each playwright has incorporated this line into their play”. Tickets are $23.00 each, the price of the tickets include a complimentary programme, pre show nibblies and a supper. There will be also a lucky door prize drawn during this evening. Little Women - The Stage Play
Wingz Productions latest show, Little Women is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown. The season opens on 2nd September 2011 followed by a supper afterwards. This is a dramatic adaptation of the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott written by Roger Wheeler, directed by Sandi Owens and produced by David W. Owens. Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2010: There goes the Neighbourhood!
Wingz Productions latest production, the Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2010 – There goes the Neighbourhood! is being presented at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown on Saturday 4th December 2010 at 7pm. Earlier this year, the Macarthur Playwriting Festival called for entries in their writing competition. Plays were received from England, USA and Sydney wide and the short-listed plays are being showcased. The finalist includes plays from the Ambarvale, Georgia (USA), Hurstville, Mount Annan & Potts Point. The plays are directed by Jullian Atkin, Stefan Kent, Will Peisker and David W. Owens. The plays feature actors from across Sydney wide; they include Angela Bramble, Jullian Atkin, Bev Carey, Melany Clark, Cameron Finlayson, Tim Kadwell, Stefan Kent, Siobhan McBeth, David W. Owens, Will Peisker, Yasmin Stenson and Lauren Weston. There are 4 awards up for grabs during this night; “The Judges choice award” writer & director and “The People’s choice award” writer & director. All audience members will have a chance to vote in The People’s choice awards. During this evening there will be a special performance by comedy duo Broken Wingz, songs from local singer Paul Jenkins and also the 9th Annual Wingz Awards. In My Dreams A black comedy written & directed by Will Peisker Synopsis A disillusioned housewife dreams of something better than her stale marriage to a lazy husband after an encounter with a young student who happens to be moving in next door. Peach Bloomers A comedy written by Gavin Austin & directed by Jullian “Jullz” Atkin Synopsis An Australian tourist confides in a London barman, trials of travelling with his mother. Credit Check A comedy written by Eddie Zipperer & directed by David W. Owens Synopsis After a car crash, married couple David & Jessica find themselves in the afterlife. Jessica believes things won’t be different, but David argues that it’s time to part.
'Allo 'Allo! - The Stage Play
Wingz Productions latest show, “‘ALLO ‘ALLO!” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown. The season opens on 20th August 2010 followed by a supper afterwards. This is the stage play of the 1980’s BBC © sitcom written by Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft, directed by David W. Owens and produced by Sandi Owens. David & Sandi have produced many successful shows together, some have included; “‘ALLO ‘ALLO!” (staged in 2002), “Are you being Served?” (staged in 2003), “Fawlty Towers”, “Lady Windermere’s Fan”, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, “Pygmalion”, “The Hound of the Baskervilles”,“Death by Chocolate” and most recently their 2010 production of “Are You Being Served?” The show is set in several parts of Café René with occasional crosses to Colonel Von Strohm’s office, Herr Flick’s secret Gestapo headquarters, General Von Schmelling’s office and the back row of the local cinema. The production stars Stefan Kent as René Artois the owner of Café René, Susan Bieniasch as Edith Artois, René’s wife, Brenda Bedewi as Yvette Carte-Blanche, René’s secret lover and waitress at Café René, Jill Larsen as Michelle Debois, the leader of the French Resistance and Yasmin Stenson as Mimi Labonq, René’s secret lover, bodyguard and waitress at Café René. News that the Fuhrer is scheduled to visit the town inspires tricksters disguised as Hitler to frequent the cafe. Meanwhile Rene summons all the wit he can muster to save his cafe and his life.

Wingz Productions latest show, “Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2009 – Beware the Ides of March” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown and is being staged on 5th December 2009. The doors will open at 7pm with pre show nibblies and will be followed by a supper afterwards. The plays being presented at this festival are: “Moment of Truth” written by C.G. Willats directed by Michael Griffin, “A Tale of Two Men” written and directed by Rhondda Hendley, “nine-thirty-six” written and directed by Kenneth Ogilvie & “Treetop Actress” written by Miles Nordin & directed by Paul Jenkins. All the plays are produced by Sandi Owens. This evening also includes the 8th Annual Wingz Awards & Entertainment. The plays being presented are the short-listed plays in the festival and are being judged in two categories, “Judges Choice” and “The People’s Choice” awards. All the plays contain “Beware the Ides of March” within the play. All audience members have the opportunity of voting for their choice for “The People’s Choice” Award. Wingz Productions latest show, “Death by Chocolate” is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, 297 Queen Street, Campbelltown. The season opens on 16th October 2009 followed by a supper afterwards. The play is a murder-mystery comedy written by Paul Freed, directed by David W. Owens and produced by Sandi Owens. David & Sandi have produced many successful shows together, some have included; “’allo ‘allo”, “Are you being Served?”, “Fawlty Towers”, “Lady Windermere’s Fan”, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, “Pygmalion” and most recently “The Hound of the Baskervilles”. The production is set at the Meadowbrook Health Resort and stars Timothy Ross as John Stone – the health resort manager, Suzanne Sayers as Lady Barbara Riverdale – the owner of the health resort & Lady Riverdale Chocolates, Robbie Earnshaw as Ed Parlor – a mystery novel writer and guest at the heath resort and Melanie Ford as Margaret Daniels – a journalist from “Elite Magazine” who has been invited by Lady Riverdale to write an article on the Grand Re-Opening of the health resort. It's up to John Stone, the manager, to find the cause and the murderer. Delightfully sarcastic and cynical. Stone finds himself teaming up with Ed Parlor, mystery writer and amateur sleuth, in a wacky race against time. The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates, and the suspects include all the outlandish characters working for the resort.

The Adventures of Doctor Hoo: The Keeper of Tarquin - The Musical
The Doctor arrives with Tippi Roxbury and Lord Snakebottom onboard the Intergalactic Starship The Re-Enterprise. Captain Rainway sends the Doctor and friends down with a landing party from The Re-Enterprise to face the perils on the planet Tarquin. The Doctor and his new friends must help the Keeper of Tarquin to defeat the Evil menace before the Universe is spun into eternal strife. Why is Tippi so important to the evil menace? We will be holding a script read thru and auditions for our latest production “Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2011: Did You Hear That Noise”, which is made up of six 10 minute plays Location: 35 Bocking Avenue, Campbelltown Script Read Thru: Monday 31st October 2011 at 8pm Auditions: Wednesday 2nd November 2011 at 8pm The subjects range from a comedy discussing the rules for Medieval Knights saving damsels in distress, to the recovery of an expensive ring from a garbage disposal. A physiological thriller about a women who thinks she’s being stalked to a comedy of two friends discussing phobia’s and an overseas trip. A comedy about a local garage owner holding job interviews to a comedy about two friends getting together to write an entry for a writing competition. The characters in these plays range from 16 through to 60 both male and female. This production is being staged at the Town Hall Theatre, Campbelltown on 17th December 2011. Are You Being Served?
Wingz Productions will be holding a script read thru on Monday 14th December 2009 & auditions on Wednesday 16th December 2009 for their latest production “Are You Being Served?”, the stage play of the 1970’s – 1980’s BBC sitcom, written by Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft. Both the script read thru and auditions are being held at the Reeve Memorial Hall (Campbelltown Uniting Church), Allman Street Campbelltown and will commence at 7:45pm. Male aged 25+ Play # 2: A Tale of Two Men Synopsis: Two very drunk men are trying to work out what a soothsayer means by “Beware the Ides of March”. They get it wrong and one come to an untimely end. Synopsis of “Death by Chocolate” Members of the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort are dropping like flies, including famed chef Edith Chiles! On the eve of the grand re-opening, this is not the best advertisement! It's up to John Stone, the manager, to find the cause and the murderer. Delightfully sarcastic and cynical. Stone finds himself teaming up with Ed Parlor, mystery writer and amateur sleuth, in a wacky race against time. The clues point to a sinister box of chocolates, and the suspects include all the outlandish characters working for the resort. Character Descriptions Please Note: Ages indicated are reflective of the Character not the Actor/Actress HENRY MEADOWBROOK (Male aged 60+) The founder of the Meadowbrook Health Resort. He’s seen only briefly when he is shot at his desk in the opening moments of the play. ALFRED MELLOX (Male aged 50+) He is in charge of the resort staff, a position given to him by Henry Meadowbrook as he was his trusted family retainer, a very efficient servant. LADY RIVERDALE (Female aged 25+) Owner of Lady Riverdale Chocolates, and the new owner of the Meadowbrook Health Resort. She is the pompous, high society type. Except when she is required to use her vicious "street shrewdness" in order to survive. (Which serves as a hint to her mysterious past!) DYSLEXIA (Female aged 25+) Lady Riverdale's assistant and long suffering eccentric secretary. Famous for her unusual clothing choices. JOHN STONE (Male aged 25+) New Manager of the Meadowbrook Health Resort, (How he got there, no one knows!) He is quick witted and finds almost everything absurd (your basic cynical person) RALPH DEADWOOD (Male aged 25+) The Gym Manager, and all around sleaze ball. Knows all about Lady Riverdale's secret past, and has used that knowledge to get what he wants from her. MARGARET DANIELS (Female aged 25+) A very attractive woman who is trying to write a feature story on the resort for a leading gossip magazine. Or is she? EDITH CHILES (Female aged 25+) The Head Chef. A rather large buxom woman with a jovial personality and New England matronly manners. DICK SIMMERING (Male aged 25+) The Aerobics Instructor. Always garbed in a jogging outfit, he is a bright, hyperactive and effeminate person. SWEET PEA MEADOWBROOK (Female aged 25+) Daughter of the late Henry Meadowbrook Extremely overweight (padding will be required for this character), she seems to be trying to eat herself to death because of the trauma of losing her father. Her mouth is always full, so no one can understand what she is saying without the help of Alfred Mellox. ANNE SMITH (Female aged 25+) The resort nurse with a fondness for valium who tends to panic at the slightest injury. ED PARLOR (Male aged 25+) Guest of Lady Riverdale's, he is a writer of murder mysteries with a cheery disposition who enjoys the chance to play "Sherlock" and try to solve the deaths by chocolate.

A Season of Sorrow Synopsis: Oscar Wilde reflects on his life to his Warder, while he is serving his sentence in Goal (Jail) Oscar Wilde (Male aged 40+) This play reflects when Oscar was serving time in goal. It is set 2 months before the end of his two year stint behind bars. His character has all the wit that you expect to hear from Oscar Wilde. Warden (Male aged 25+) This character could be any age from 18 through to 60. This character is kind to Oscar and looks out for him. Enigma Becomes You Synopsis: A woman receives a visit from her estranged husband. Man (Male age 25+) This character is going through a nasty divorce, he now lives with his “Bimbo” as his wife puts it. During the play, we get to know what kind of man he is. Woman (Female aged 25+) She’s a very positive woman who knows her own mind. She’s been hurt through the divorce and has her defences up. The Colour Red Synopsis: Val has the chance to meet the young woman who has taken over her son’s life. Val (Female aged 55+) A woman in her mid fifties is meeting the young woman who has taken over her son’s life. Caitlin (Female aged 20+) A young woman in her twenties, who is waiting to meet Davey’s mother.

Wingz Productions will be holding an Orientation/Read Thru for latest production, George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" on Monday 12th November 2007 at 7:45pm and Auditions on Thursday 15th November 2007 at 7:45pm. Synopsis This tells the story of Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics, who makes a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering that he can successfully pass off a Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, as a refined society lady by teaching her how to speak with an upper class accent and training her in etiquette. In the process, Professor Higgins and Eliza Doolittle grow close, but she ultimately rejects his domineering ways and declares she will marry Freddy Eynsford-Hill – a young, poor, gentleman.

The Doctor and his new friends must help the Keeper of Tarquin to defeat the Evil menace before the Universe is spun into eternal strife. Why is Tippi so important to the evil menace? What is the Keeper of Tarquin’s real secret? Has Lord Snakebottom really turned from his evil ways or does he have a plan up his sleeve?
The Adventures of Doctor Hoo: The Keeper of Tarquin - The Musical
Wingz Productions will be holding Auditions on Monday 19th March 2007 from 7:45pm at 35 Bocking Avenue Campbelltown for their next production, “The Adventures of Doctor Hoo: The Keeper of Tarquin – The Musical”. The writer of the show David W. Owens is a local playwright with over 17 years writing, directing & acting experience and is a cousin of the 1960’s British rock singer Billy Fury. The music for this show will be mainly based in 1980’s but may vary. The Show is a Sci-Fi take off that will be a cross between the 1960’s TV series Doctor Who & Star Trek and a bit of Star Wars thrown in. Parts in this Musical will be written for the successful auditionees. Synopsis of "The Importance of being earnest" The Importance of being earnest follows the story of Jack Worthing & Algernon Moncrieff and their talents for slightly bending the truth. Jack, when he is in the city pretends to be Ernest to escape the dullness of country life, Algernon pretends to be visiting a terminally ill friend friend Mr. Bunbury to escape the hetic city life. When Algernon finds out the locationof Jack's country estate, he pretends to be Jack's wicked brother Ernest and pays young Cecily a visit. Cecily is in love withe Ernest but she has never met him. To add to this Gwendolen aslo pays the estate a visit, looking for her Ernest (Jack). Just when all misunderstandings are corrected, Lady Bracknell arrives to thwart the plans of our two happy couples. The Characters in the play are: (Please Note the age indicated, is the age of the character not the actor): John (Jack) Worthing J.P. (Male aged 25+) Jack’s origins are not exactly known, he is well educated and is well spoken. He is Jack in the country & Ernest in the city. Its only a matter of time before his lies catch up with him. He’s in love with Gwendolen Fairfax, who is in turn in love with him. The only thing stopping them is Gwendolen’s mother, Lady Bracknell. The other thing stopping their union is; Gwendolen thinks Jack’s name is Ernest. Algernon Moncrieff (Male aged 20+) He is one of the worst kind of upper class snob; a poor one. He never takes anything serious, life is a big game to him. He’s the nephew of Lady Bracknell, she has never approved of his wasteful life. When Algernon visits the country he instantly falls in love with Cecily but she thinks his name is Ernest. Hon. Gwendolen Fairfax (Female aged 18+) She is the daughter of Lady Bracknell, this character is upper class English. Jack & Gwendolen are in love but Lady Bracknell doesn’t care much about that and spilt them up at any cost. One problem is Gwendolen thinks his name is Ernest. Cecily Cardew (Female aged 18+) Cecily was born into a family that would be considered rich in today’s standards. She is the ward of Jack Worthing. Cecily is very unattentive to her studies, much to Miss Prism’s annoyance. She has fallen in love with Ernest, as she has never met him, this should not amount to much. That is until Algernon turns up pretending to be Ernest. Lady Bracknell (Female aged 45+) Lady Bracknell married into a well off family and wishes the same for her daughter, Gwendolen Fairfax. She has her own opinion in life and as far as see is concerned, that’s the only one that counts. Lady Bracknell doesn’t approve of Jack’s interest in her daughter and do whatever it takes to split them up. Miss Laetitia Prism (Female aged 45+) Miss Prism is educated and has worked in various professions. Currently she is the Governess to Cecily Cardew, she is frustrated by Cecily not being attentive to her studies. In her time Miss Prism has written a three-volume novel. Miss Prism has an affection for the Reverend Chasuble but would never admit it. Rev. Cannon Chasuble D.D. (Male aged 45+) The Reverend Chasuble is a well spoken and read man. He is the Reverend of the Wooton Parish overseeing the moral guidance of his flock. Always ready with the righteous point of view. Underneath his salt of the earth exterior harbours desires for Miss Prism. Lane, Manservent (Male aged 45+) Lane is the old family retainer of the Moncrieff family. It is his misfortune that currently his master is Algernon. He has a very dry whit, fortunately for him, Algernon doesn’t pick up on it. Merriman, Butler (Male aged 45+) Merriman is Jack’s Butler in the country, presiding over the household, making sure everything is done just so. Maids, Footmen & Gardeners (Males & Females aged 18+) These parts are Non Speaking roles & will double as the back stage team.

Major Gowen (Resident of the Hotel – Male aged 60+) The Major is usually to be found in the hotel bar or asking for the morning's papers, the Major is the hotel's longest-standing resident. Never understanding quite what is going on, he is constantly adding his own bizarre interpretations of the situation. Mrs. Alice Richards (Deaf Hotel Guest – Female Aged 40+) Mrs. Richards is a Hotel guest with a hearing problem but only when it suits her though. She’s quite arrogant and set in her ways. She believes that some money has been stolen from her room and blames the staff. As soon as Mrs. Richards meets Basil, she takes an instant dislike to him. Mrs. Taylor & Quentina (Hotel Guest – Female Aged 18+) Both Mrs. Taylor & Quentina are Hotel Guest dining in the Hotel. They're minor roles but are important to the plot of the show.
